HATI2 KENGKAWAN SEKALIAN..

Excerpt from NST today...guys pls be extra careful...especially if you or your HM is driving alone...

PETALING JAYA: Three armed robbers struck twice within 12 hours yesterday, escaping with two cars, both driven by women.

Both incidents occurred five kilometres apart in Puchong, leading police to believe that both robberies were committed by the same gang.

The first incident occurred about midnight yesterday near Taman Puncak Jalil.

The victim was a 20-year-old woman who was driving a Toyota Vios. Her car was hit from behind by a Proton Waja.

When the woman pulled up by the road shoulder to inspect the damage, three men from the Proton Waja confronted her. They scolded and accused her of causing the accident.

One of the suspects then slapped the victim, causing her to fall to the ground and before she could regain her composure, another man drove her car away.

The victim, who was bruised from the attack, called a friend before lodging a report at a nearby police station.

The second incident occurred in front of another victim's house in Jalan BK2/7, Bandar Kinrara, about 11.30am yesterday.

The woman, in her 30s, was about to go out with her maid when they were confronted by three men, one armed with a parang.

They were warned not to raise the alarm before the three jumped into the woman's Mercedes Benz and drove it away.

Subang Jaya deputy police chief Superintendent Jaafar Said said police believe both robberies were committed by the same gang. He said police mounted roadblocks in the area immediately after each report.

The losses were estimated at RM250,000.

Jaafar advised women drivers to be extra cautious if they were involved in minor collisions.

He said they should drive to the nearest police station if they felt threatened.
Those with information on the cases can contact the nearest police station or Subang Jaya police headquarters at 03-89484822.

In Butterworth, a similar modus operandi was inflicted upon a businessman along a busy road at Sungai Dua yesterday.

The drama unfolded about noon when the 34-year-old was driving his new Toyota Camry, worth about RM150,000, from Sungai Petani to his home. A 4WD vehicle suddenly rammed into his car from behind as he reached the Sungai Dua main road.

The businessman then pulled up to the side to inspect the damage to his vehicle but before he could get out, another car sped up alongside his vehicle and six men armed with parangs and knives, confronted him.

Seberang Prai Utara district police chief ACP Wan Abdullah Tuanku Said said that the robbers bundled the businessman into his car and took over the wheel. They drove him to a secluded area in Permatang Pasir and robbed him of RM2,100, a gold chain and ring worth RM27,000.

The victim was ordered out of his car before the robbers fled in his Toyota.
